Introduction
I am a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience in adult psychotherapy, clinical consultation and supervision, and academic teaching. With over 30 years of clinical practice experience, and 19 years of graduate teaching in advanced clinical practice and child and adult development, I bring both knowledge and expertise to my psychotherapy practice.
In addition to helping you find relief from your problems, my objective is to assist you in discovering more satisfying and adaptive ways to manage your particular challenges. I deal with a wide range of emotional concerns both large and small, whether they be psychologically driven, situationally based, or both. In my years of clinical practice, people have come to me with a variety of problems including various types of anxiety and depression, difficulties in relationships, concerns about work or career, generalized unhappiness with life, stage-of-life struggles, adjustment related to chronic illness, and difficulties surrounding sexual identity, to name a few. I have a special interest and expertise in addressing problems that develop throughout adult life and that are common to many people, spanning late adolescence, young adulthood, middle age, and the older adult years.
As I work to help you gain a better understanding of your particular problems and how to navigate them more effectively, my approach is collaborative, interactive, and respectful. Feel free to contact me to ask any questions, discuss any concerns, or to set up an appointment.
